HOW DOES IT WORK?
BOTOX® and Dysport work by blocking transmission of nerve impulses to the muscles in the chosen area, preventing the muscle from receiving the message to contract. Their effects are confined to the injection site and do not travel throughout the body.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTOX® and DYSPORT?
BOTOX® was the first to market and a household name. BOTOX® eliminates forehead lines, crow’s feet, and other facial wrinkles that can make you look angry, stressed and aged. Onset can take up to 2 weeks and lasts about 3-5 months.
Dysport® provides fast, fabulous results. It’s been said that Dysport® is quicker to take effect and (in some instances) lasts longer than BOTOX®.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
The non-surgical administration of BOTOX® and Dysport injections takes about 10-15 minutes. A very fine needle is inserted into the muscles of the targeted areas, quickly injecting small portions of the neurotoxin liquid. Some clients report mild, temporary discomfort from the treatments.
WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?
You can expect to see a smoother, more youthful appearance after the injections. Following treatment, results are visible within 3–5 days. However, it can take up to 2 weeks to see full results. Dysport and BOTOX® are long-lasting with results for 3-4 months.
